About Hoofbeats Equine Rescue, Inc.

Our Mission
Rescue…Rehabilitate…Rehome has always been the goal for our rescue, but sometimes the “rehabilitate” and “rehome” can’t be part of the plan.
Sometimes, the horses we receive are in terrible condition because they have been starved, neglected or are lame and the owner can no longer provide the care. In those cases, we know we cannot fully rehabilitate; therefore, we will not rehome. The horse will spend the rest of his life here at our ranch.
Our History
Hoofbeats Equine Rescue, Inc. was officially born in December of 2021, but the dream has been alive for a long, long time. Ever since I was a little girl and learned how to ride at my Godmother’s ranch, horsemanship has always been a huge part of my life. I knew it would only be a matter of time before I got myself established in the rescue world.

Help us Expand the Barn!
Thank you for your continued support of Hoofbeats Equine Rescue! Our current fundraiser is to expand the barn from 4 stalls to 10, so we can not only bring in more rescues, but provide the new rescues a quiet place for them to decompress and quarantine for 30 days. This will enable our vet to assess the horses to make sure they aren’t carrying an infectious equine disease that could infect the entire herd.
Every little bit helps! Also, if you would like to donate food, please call Garner’s Feed and Seed at 903-892-1081 and let them know you would like to buy feed under Kindra Bierly. They know us well!
OUR STAFF & VOLUNTEERS
I cannot run this rescue on my own, that’s for sure!
Rosemarie Burton
Barn Manager
Rosemarie Burton, my friend and my Barn Manager has been with me for over a year and she takes such wonderful care of our furry family. She has a background in horses and goes above and beyond to make sure they are well cared for!
Madison Clement
Horse Trainer
Madison Clement is also my friend and horse trainer! She has been in the horse industry since she was a little girl! You can also catch her running the flags and some barrels at the local rodeo from time to time. She has a wonderful connection with our horses and has taken the most frightened rescue and turned him into a trusting, rideable guy, who very much wants to please.
